The claim
“WHY NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT THE BEST WALLET FOR COPY TRADING? Copied three of his trades manually before adding to the bot. All winners. This guy joined just 2 weeks ago and is already sitting on $183,000.”
@DextersSolab, 3 October 2026, 3,605 views1. The tweet is cut off in our copy.
Copy trading means your account repeats someone else’s trades automatically. Eight of the 22 tweets we collected are one sentence in slightly different wordings, posted as replies by two accounts: a copy trading bot made the writer $14,000 the week before1. None of the 22 tweet texts gives the money put in, the percentage return or the fees paid1. This page judges the scheme, not the people who tweeted.
The sums
Profit is the money put in, times the return, minus the share taken by the lead trader (the person copied), minus fees. So the money needed is the profit wanted divided by the net return.
| Net return a month | Money needed for $1,000 a month | For $14,000 in one week |
|---|---|---|
| 2% (our assumption) | $50,000 | $3,000,000 |
| about 10.6% (one large account on the copy page of Binance, an exchange, latest 30 days)3 | about $9,500 | about $570,000 |
All figures are our estimates, with a week taken as 7/30 of a month. The second row is one account in one month, from a showcase page that changes continuously, and it is the lead trader’s own return, not what copiers received3. It already takes off a 10% share for the lead trader; Binance allows up to 30%23.
Bots that copy a crypto wallet (an account on a public blockchain) charge about 1% on each buy and each sell, so about 2% for a buy and a later sell, plus network fees78.
What happens to most people who try
No source measures results for copiers alone. The nearest figures:
- Exchanges. One study of 100,236 follower outcomes on Binance, Bybit and MEXC found 48.48% positive over 90 days25. Its author sells an investing product, and it counts wins and losses, not money25.
- Polymarket, a site for betting on events, where the tweet above points18. One independent analyst’s count of 2.5 million addresses found 84.1% in the red on closed positions20. 0.1% earned over $5,000 two months in a row20. It counts addresses, not people, and an earlier analyst using another formula found 30% in profit20. A short hot record is the kind that rarely continues. We did not check the wallet’s balance.
We found no individual copier with checked proof of income.
The upside
The best-documented winners are the people being copied, and they are a small minority.
- Traders copied on eToro, a platform with a copy feature. Its annual report, filed with the US securities regulator, counts over 4,750 members of its programme for copied traders as of 31 December 202548. 125 had over $1 million copying them, about 2.6% of members, and 17 had over $10 million48. Those levels pay about $15,000 and about $150,000 a year50. The counts are from a regulatory filing; the pay is our estimate.
- Vaults on Hyperliquid, a crypto exchange. A vault is a pool that a leader trades. Of 9,469 user vaults, 22.8% show a lifetime profit, 273 made over $10,000 and 11 over $1 million; the median vault that traded lost $14251. That is vault profit, not the leader’s pay, which is a 10% share of profit52. These are our estimates from a public file that changes continuously.
- Copiers on a licensed platform. A good result is about what the share market returned, with a real chance of less (our estimate)553.
None of the copier results we could check is near $14,000 in a week.
What it takes to compete
- Choosing on risk, not on rank. A 2018 study, read as an abstract only, found that copying the traders with the highest past returns “leads to high losses”; the strategies with positive returns used information on the copied trader’s risk28.
- To be copied: money, an audience and time. eToro’s first paid tier needs $10,000 of your own and $50,000 from at least five copiers, and pays $3,000 to $6,000 a year50.
To tell early: ask for the percentage and the money at risk, not just the dollars, and for the record’s worst fall.
Who else makes money from it
Three groups are paid whether or not the copier ends ahead.
- The platform or bot, through fees on every copied trade78.
- The copied trader. eToro pays up to 1.5% a year of the money copying a trader50.
- The referrer. Polymarket pays a referrer 10% of net trading fees from direct referrals for the first 30 days18. The link in the tweet above led to a Polymarket trader profile, with a tag naming the sharer18. Polymarket’s page does not describe that tag, and rewards need $10,000 of lifetime trading volume and a new sign-up through the link18. We do not know whether that account qualifies or has earned anything. This is a fact about the pay structure, not about any person.
